Abstract

Analysis of Road Function Feasibility Using Star Rating Method on Ir. H. Juanda Road Segment, Tegal Regency. The increasing traffic volume and activity intensity along Ir. H. Juanda Street in Tegal Regency demand a thorough evaluation of road function feasibility to ensure user safety. This study aims to analyze road safety conditions using the Star Rating method from Bina Marga, based on the Circular Letter of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing No. 11/SE/Db/2024. Data were collected through field surveys and official secondary sources, covering geometric road characteristics, surrounding environment, traffic volume, and facilities for vulnerable road users. The analysis revealed that out of 19 segments across 1,900 meters, the average Star Rating score was 6.63, classified as 3-Star, with several segments rated 2 and 4 stars. These findings indicate that while the road is technically feasible, significant safety risks remain, particularly for pedestrians and motorcyclists. Recommended improvements include installing speed bumps, repairing traffic signs, and adding road markings to enhance road safety.
