Abstract

Student mobility is a crucial aspect of educational transportation. However, many challenges remain, particularly regarding student safety during travel and limited access to information for parents. To address these challenges, the “Esus” application was developed to support a sustainable school transportation system through a web-based platform designed to monitor the movement of school buses in real time. This application integrates QR code scanning and automatic notifications accessible directly by parents, drivers, and researchers as administrators. Through an information technology approach, Esus aims to enhance transparency, safety, and transportation services for students. Additionally, this application can serve as a recommendation for relevant stakeholders to improve the quality of school transportation in their respective regions. The implementation of this application is expected to improve the overall quality of school transportation in line with the development of digital technology that supports intelligent transportation systems.
