Abstract

Parking issues in urban areas have become increasingly complex due to the growing number of vehicles and limited parking spaces. This study introduces ParkEase, an innovative Internet of Things (IoT)-based application designed to help users find and reserve parking slots in real time. The system integrates sensors to detect slot availability, displays information through a mobile application, and supports digital payments via QRIS. The development followed the Waterfall model up to the implementation stage. An evaluation involving 20 respondents revealed that the application offers a user-friendly interface, clear slot availability information, and a reservation feature that helps users save time and reduce traffic congestion caused by manual parking searches. The results indicate that ParkEase represents an initial step toward a more modern and efficient parking management system that aligns with the smart city concept. Further development is needed to complete the testing and deployment phases to enable broader implementation.
