Abstract

Gempol Pasuruan Toll Road is a series of Trans Java toll roads. The large number of vehicles crossing this toll road is accompanied by an increase in the number of accidents that occur. Based on data for 2021-2023, a total of 28 accidents occurred with details of minor injuries 15 people, serious injuries 30 people, and deaths 16 people. Analysis of accident-prone areas is carried out to find out and identify safety problems that exist on toll road sections. This is done using the Equivalent Accident Number (EAN) method and using the Upper Control Limit (BKA) and Upper Control Limit (UCL) values. From the results of the analysis carried out, KM 786+600 is an accident-prone area on the Gempol Pasuruan Toll Road. The installation of strobe lights, rumble strips, and installation of traffic signs and Variable Massage Signs (VMS) are expected to reduce the number of accidents that occur on the Gempol-Pasuruan Toll Road, especially at accident-prone areas, namely KM 786+600.
