Utilization of the Android-Based SIPPAJI Application to Improve the Effectiveness of Motor Vehicle Inspection Equipment Maintenance

This study develops an Android-based Information System for the Maintenance and Care of Testing Equipment (SIPPAJI) for the Vehicle Testing Center (PKB) in Ngawi Regency. The main problem addressed is the suboptimal management of testing equipment maintenance, which hampers the vehicle testing process. The research methodology includes field observations, interviews with vehicle inspectors, documentation, and system development using the waterfall model. The results show that the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the SIPPAJI application significantly increased the percentage of maintenance and care of testing equipment, with an average improvement of 36.78% (from 34.52% to 71.3%). Blackbox testing verified that the application’s functionality runs well, while the System Usability Scale (SUS) evaluation resulted in a score of 76.75 (Grade B), indicating that the application has good quality and is suitable for implementation at the PKB in Ngawi Regency.
