Development of the Rute-Ku Application as a Support Tool for Transportation to Tourist Destinations in Surakarta City

Surakarta is a city with significant potential in the tourism sector due to its strategic location in the heart of Java Island and the diversity of its tourist attractions. However, many visitors still encounter difficulties in accessing information about public transportation to various tourist destinations. The inefficiency and lack of integration in transportation information remain major challenges in planning and enjoying tourism experiences in the city. To address these issues, we have developed a web-based application called Rute-Ku. This application serves to provide information about tourist destinations in Surakarta and assist users in determining the most suitable travel routes. Rute-Ku also offers free tourist transportation services, complemented by a feature for reserving transport seats online. The development of this application follows the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, which emphasizes fast and iterative prototyping. The tools used include Visual Studio Code for interface and backend development, and MySQL for database management. With the implementation of Rute-Ku, tourists are expected to plan their trips more independently and conveniently, ultimately making visits to Surakarta more comfortable and enjoyable.References
