Abstract

The transformation towards a smart city demands an efficient, environmentally friendly, and sustainable transportation system. In this context, the development of bicycle lanes is one of the solutions to reduce dependence on motor vehicles and promote green mobility. This research aims to analyze the feasibility of bicycle lanes in Banyumas City as part of a sustainable mobility strategy. The method used is a quantitative approach through distributing questionnaires to the community of current and potential bicycle users, as well as analyzing data using SPSS software. The analysis is conducted to understand public perceptions regarding the aspects of safety, comfort, accessibility, and the need for bicycle lane infrastructure. The results of the data processing show that the majority of respondents support the development of bike lanes, but there are still obstacles such as a lack of supporting facilities and minimal integration with other modes of transportation. These findings indicate that the construction of bike lanes in Banyumas is feasible, provided that there is user-centered planning and support from local government policies. The recommendations produced are expected to serve as a basis for decision-making on sustainable transportation in the era of smart cities.
