Abstract

The rapid growth of vehicle numbers, unmatched by the expansion of road infrastructure capacity, has become a major cause of traffic congestion in urban areas. This condition not only disrupts mobility but also leads to energy waste, economic losses, and reduced transportation system efficiency. Evaluating road segment performance is a strategic step to assess the level of service and to formulate appropriate traffic management policies. However, conventional evaluation methods—relying on manual surveys and complex calculations—are often inefficient and prone to error. This study proposes the design of a web-based application for calculating urban road performance using PHP and HTML, which automates calculations based on PKJI standards. The application enables users to input traffic data and instantly obtain performance analysis results in real time, making it a reliable decision support tool. The implementation of web technology also promotes data transparency, processing efficiency, and cross-device accessibility, positioning it as an adaptive solution to modern urban transportation challenges.
