Abstract

Electric buses today are considered effective in reducing pollution that endangers society. This study aims to analyze the performance of battery charging in two units of Low Entry type electric buses operating on the 4C Transjakarta line, namely the Skywell and SAG brands. This research was carried out through observation and data collection for 3 months on the charging process at each charging station. This study focuses on studies that include energy consumption efficiency, charging speed, and comparison of operational costs to conventional diesel-fueled buses. The results of this study show that Skywell charging stations are more efficient in power consumption, SAG units have a higher level of consistency and speed. However, overall, the operating costs of the two electric buses, namely Skywell and SAG, are much lower than diesel-powered buses. This makes electric vehicles a more economically efficient and environmentally friendly transportation solution.
