Survey of Lion Air Passengers at Syamsudin Noor Airport in Banjarmasin on Airline Ticket Price Increases

Abstract

The abstract in English should be italicized at the beginning of the paper with one column below the author information. Use the word “Abstract” as the title with a font size of 10pt, bold, on the left side of the column, the first letter using capital letters. The abstract is between 150-250 words and contains three to six keywords related to the article. The abstract must contain the background of the research, the purpose of the research, the methods used and the results obtained. Airline ticket price increases are often an issue that directly impacts passenger interest and satisfaction, especially for low-cost airlines like Lion Air. This study aims to determine Lion Air passengers' perceptions and responses to the increase in airfare at Syamsudin Noor Airport in Banjarmasin. The research method used was a quantitative survey by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents online through a website-based platform. The survey application was designed using XAMPP as a local server that integrates Apache, MySQL, and PHP to build an effective and efficient data collection system. The survey results showed that most passengers felt burdened by the ticket price increase, although they still chose Lion Air due to its relatively more affordable price compared to other airlines. This web-based survey system also proved to facilitate real-time data collection and processing. This study is expected to provide input for airlines and airport managers in determining pricing strategies that are more appropriate and responsive to market needs.
